They need to focus on a much smaller number of dishes, and try to inject some quality. There isn't anything overly special or exciting about this bar. The whole place has a 'modern' look to it, which is where I get my airport impression. I thought it was ok because it was beside the cinema etc etc - don't make the same mistake I did!! Why else would we be standing there looking expectant? On a side note, please either decide if you are going to have table service or order at the bar, I find the mix of the two really rather bizzare. The drinks are a bit more expensive than other places in the Omni Centre, but watch out for their promotions as there is always something on special offer. The chips let it down a lot. It is a nicely decorated place, and i have been in for a quick drink before heading to the cinema, but food wise, i'll give it a miss in future! Meh, I would not have it again if I were to return. I;ve been here several times and come to the same conclusion. I did have soup for a starter though, and i must admit, it was nice. The Slug and Lettuce may not be exciting or original but it is a reliable go-to if you are after a few drinks or bit of food before the cinema or theatre. They have a full menu but we've only had the starters here - they were pretty tasty though. There was even some banter. Instead my chicken dish came with the roasted vegetables and my friends dish came with a miniscule amount of pasta sauce! From a relaxed daytime the venue transforms into a lively night time venue perfect to meet friends, dance, hold parties, or just listen to great music. They have eight different burger options, sitting next to a similar number of curry options, sitting next to a broad range of pasta options, and from what I could see, none of it looked too appetizing.
Both were really delicious and you just can't beat the price. But I'd never eat in there again. Our server was getting slammed due to the 50% off food special, but she managed to come around a few times and apoligized for the wait. As Michael said, there is plenty of nice big leather sofas to collapse into for a night of drinking. I had ordered a chicken and pasta dish, and my friend had ordered a pasta dish which was supposed to have roasted vegetables with it. They also do an offer on Monday's where all food has 50% off which is a great bargain. O nce again sorry for late reply and hope this helps you in some way or another.
Hi Sorry for the late reply but just back from holiday. I think at certain tables you would be able to use this restaurant but some tables you couldn't use as there is a step up to them. My mate wasn't exactly fussed on hers either - so that too got left. This is not the recipe for a happy lunchtime. If it is wheelchair friendly I'm sure the staff will help you in anyway they can as we found them to be very helpful when we were there. It looks more charming and relaxed than the other places, and the food isn't horrible.

Food ranges from Aberdeen Angus steak burgers to hearty fish pie, with junior menus for kids and a smart drinks list for adults. They were clearly run off their feet but they were on the ball and friendly whenever they came over or we called them while they were in the middle of something. Both were really delicious and you just can't beat the price. I had chicken curry with rice and my husband had the steak.

Please be aware that children must be off the premises by 8pm due to licencing conditions. Thank goodness i did have that as i'd been leaving the place as hungry as i was when i walked in otherwise! This place always gives me the creeps!! Adults and children can be seated in any area. The food is alright, I enjoyed my Italian Burger, a chicken breast with pesto, mozzarella and tomato. Service is good and the barstaff are always pleasant.
It's main selling point is that its convenient for a wee glass of inoffensive wine before the cinema, but if you're not pushed for time then just toddle along to broughton street where everythings a bit more special. Overall the decor is nice, the food is fine, tastyish and cheap but service terrible x For some reason my friend always wants to go here for drinks, even though it's in the omni centre. Food-wise, there is a fabulous range of meals to suit every appetite: quick snacks, indulgent breakfasts, after-work nibbles or full-on three-course meals. Our server was getting slammed due to the 50% off food special, but she managed to come around a few times and apoligized for the wait. I saw his eyes sink a little.
You can tell they've gone for simple and reasonably minimalist but didn't want to go too far. I think the reason might be the half price cocktails! I'm going to keep this short and simple. . Distinctly tepid soup, an eclectic car-crash menu, and friendly but slow service. Finally one attentive waiter asked us if we were waiting to be seated and we said yes. Or so we thought, after being shown to a table and deciding on what we wanted we were told there was no Sunday Roast left.
