Well, the beginning was really good, the middle part was crap, and the ending was alright. The dialogue on Lucius' part reeked of melodrama and he acted like a jerk right up until the last few pages of the book. When she gets to school, he's there in her English Lit class, an exchange student from Romania called Lucius Veldescu, domineering the teacher and, again, watching her. Regardless, the novel had a few redeeming qualities, so I decided to give the novel the benefit of the doubt. The storyline was interesting so far from most vampire books. I would not suggest reading it, unless inconsistent, angst-filled books is in your favor. Gaping Plot Holes Characters that were important in the beginning fall off the focus wheel. And I liked that Lucius and her relationship started up from hate then to friends then to love because I have to admit it was fun to see not only lovey dovy scenes, but the funny bickering between the two of them. Surprisingly, Jessica still loves him through all of the crap he's put her through.

It's a fairly obvious thing to point out that this book is aimed at all the teen Twilight fans out there. Maybe it's the title, not really what it says, but visually a little long okay so that sounds crazy, but I am very visual. And why did my dad have to be so big on mass transit, anyhow? Its all very funny and sarcastic. The clash of the vegan farmhouse and blood-thirsty royal Romanian was entertaining and Jessica's turn from the nice farm boy to the dark bad boy was not insensate lust but a proper transformation with dark, sexy vampire twists that won me to Lucius' side. But somewhere along the way, I did. Wonderful, wonderful bus number 23. I really enjoyed the arrogant, sarcastic, and witty attitude of the vampire in this story. Just not for me, I didn't really like the main character, Jessica, and Lucius teetered between amusing and annoying. Faith had made her life at Woodrow Wilson that miserable.Next
